Dear, Ladies and Gentlemen,
We are seriously concerned about what is happening at Burgas and particular cutting down the trees and begun indiscriminate felling on “Tzar Simeon I” street. We have an information that there is preparing for cutting down all trees along that 2 km. long street. Flatly we oppose against that taken decision from Burgas Municipality, irrespective of whatever casus arguments may justify it, for it is obviously, the trees are vital and strong and have not exhausted its life potential.

In our opinion it will be of great ecological offence against our city.

Over 200 viable and beautiful seventy-years history trees are destroyed with one blow, along “Tzar Simeon I” str., on the pretext thar, there have to build a car parking lots on their place. In this logic they should cut down all trees at old part city at sea garden too, “Oborishte” street, “Demokrazia” avenue, as well as over all city area, where our forefathers had been planting green richness of Burgas.

Such felling was not been and not be at any Bulgarian city. Burgas is one of the most polluted cities in Bulgaria. Subjected under daily gas pollution  by "LUKOIL NEFTOCHIM BOURGAS" AD(Joint-stock company), “Kronospan” EООD (Limited Liability Private Company) and others, the city is at vital necessity of greenery and trees by which the air should be filtrate in natural way.

Unfortunately a green area has been continuously destroyed during the last years.

We are certain and deeply believe, Burgas community will openly oppose against that barbarian act. No in the last place we suspect, there are hidden material benefits and interests on certain private companies behind that taken by Burgas Municipality decision……………..

We rely on national and international media to be given publicity on that offence and support activation of European society against that disastrous action!

Publishing our position, you will enable other organizations and citizens to join with the campaign for green system preservation at Bulgaria

We are ready to take all manner of protest actions, including live chain, as we hope on support of international institutions too, relevant to environment preservation.

Each tree is original monument of culture, live monument of the history and the atmosphere of Burgas.

No argument can justify destroying that hundreds monuments. Furthermore, let not forget, the trees are not objects, which can just be removed, but a living creatures and source of life. Cutting down even of one tree is murder. Let be no murders, but creators and makers in order to live in better and more beautiful world.
