For
the 5th consecutive year Burgas Municipality hosted a traditional
Championship Kyokushin Karate for children, juniors' Cup Burgas. The race was held on 20th March in the overcrowded hall "Mladost".
Host and organizer was driving a sports club Kyokushin Spirit - Burgas with coach senpay Gergana Apostolov.
In the tournament was attended by 130 young karatekas across the country. Its opening ceremony was honored by the Mayor of Burgas Dimitar Nikolov.
JCC Kyokushin Spirit is present with 26 players, including champions in different age groups and categories were:
- Denica Ilieva;
- Teodora Mancheva;
- Christina Nikolov;
- Stefka Petkova;
- Bogomil Kostov;
- Mitko Simov;
- Good Nikolov;
- Radoslav Neshev.
The
team won seven 2nd, four 3rd and four 4th places, the prize for best
high fighting spirit receives Stefka Petkova, and Bogdan Bogdanov was
named best small player.
Burgas Municipality Cup was won by a team of world champion Sensei Emil Kostov - SC "Ichi Geki - Varna. The award was presented by the Head of the Sport at the Municipality of Burgas Vesselina Devedzhiev.
