| First Water Association in Bulgaria starts work in Burgas, Bourgas, Burgas |

All
water facilities in the territory of Burgas, which so far have been
managed by municipalities, of water companies, public or private
companies will be transferred to water management association. Water
Act provides that the state shareholding in the Association to be 35%
and the remaining 65% be allocated to municipalities in the area. The allocation is based on population in the municipality. To enable the association to take necessary decisions on a person to be two prerequisites. One
is before any meeting the governor, who by law is chairman of the
Association to reconcile its position with the Minister of Environment
and Water and Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, and
representatives of municipalities should coordinate its position on the
solutions offered for making the relevant municipal councils. To
decide the general meeting of the Association is the percentage
required majority of all votes to be ¾, this is the second
prerequisite.
First
general meeting of the Association was held today and coincides with
International Water Day, the governor leads him Grebenarova Constantine
and his goal was to allocate the proportion of votes of the
municipalities / a table /. Thus, the proposed was unanimously adopted by members of the Association. Next meeting to be adopted budget and technical team. Furthermore,
production and aggregation of lists of water systems and facilities,
public and state property within the district of Burgas and giving them
control of the Association of Water by the Minister of Regional
Development and Public Works, after which it in turn to decide to provide such systems and equipment for the operation of water supply operator. The
meeting was attended by Konstantin Grebenarova governor, his deputies
and Zlatina Dukova Zlatko Dimitrov, the mayors of 13 municipalities in
the area or their representatives authorized by the municipal councils
to represent them, an official participant in the meeting was Valerie
Stratiev - chief of staff and counselor the Minister of Environment and Water.
Establishment and operation of the Association is in relation to recent changes in the Law on Water months from June 2009.
