| 24 projects will compete for a monument of the poet Petya Dubarova, Bourgas, Burgas |

From 14 January to 28 January launch of a project the choice to build a monument of the poet Petya Dubarova in Bourgas. This
became clear at a news conference in City Art Gallery Petko Zadgorski
"where are all the 24 projects participating in the contest.
The
meeting was attended by Mayor of Burgas, Dimitar Nikolov, Deputy Mayor
Yordanka Ananiev Elica Dubarova - chief curator of the museum house
"Petya Dubarova and chairman of the Initiative Committee, Maria
Dubarova - poet and mother of Nicholas Dubarova - chief painter in the
Municipality of Burgas .
"The idea of building a monument to Petya Dubarova is 2 years ago and that is that we are on the brink of its realization. I
am pleased by the strong interest in the competition and successful
projects of artists from across the country. "Said Mayor of Burgas,
Dimitar Nikolov.
Project evaluation will be made by 7-member jury in its role as the seventh player to be called a public vote. Anyone
wishing to vote for their favorite by visiting BHG Petko Zadgorski,
where projects are at or Internet addresses - burgas.bg / Burgas
Municipality /, radioburgas.net / Municipal Radio - Burgas /,
skulptura.org / Union of Bulgarian
artists / in Bulgarian literature or sites directly on
dubarovamuseum.com / House-Museum "Petya Dubarova" /, which can be
viewed photos of the projects.
"The monument of the poet will be best for this place - Sea Garden of Burgas to that of Christo Fotev. I
urge all citizens of Burgas wherever located - in the country or
abroad, to engage in Internet voting and cast their vote for the most
appropriate and worthy project, "said Mayor Dimitar Nikolov, adding
that the launch campaign for public vote will make as transparent and public procedure of choice.
"The
purpose of this competition is not only to choose the project and the
chosen design reflects the spirit of the artist and human Dubarova
Petya," said deputy mayor for culture and education Yordanka Ananieva.
In
the national competition to build a monument of Petya Dubarova which
actually started on September 2, 2009, expressed willingness to
participate a total of 48 sculptors from around the country. 24
of them, among which 5 Bourgas authors presented their projects on time
and participate in a contest to select the best project, which ends on
Jan. 28.
