In the cool Sunday evening, on 09 August 2009 years, the Summer Theater in Burgas was rocked by the wonderful concert of one of the best singers of the past few decades.
John Lawton from Uriah Heep made a nearly 2 hours long concert in front of at least 2000 people intense summer theater audience.
The concert started a little faint with the performance the first song from the repertoire of BTR, who did not fail to warm up the fans, just as needed for the celebrity that was about to play afterwards.
The vocalist Atanas Penev, guitarist and vocalist Slavcho Nikolov, Kiril Bozhkov guitarist, bass guitarist Ivan Kalfov and drummer Georgi Milev played some of his most famous songs, supported with the powerful voice of the audience. After the performance of "The Golden fish" and "Flower of the Moon" came a song at the end of which John Lawton entered the stage.
The crowd was screaming with the joy, wintessing the incredible enthusiasm and energy with which the 63 year old musician literally was flowing to the public. Unexpectedly Lawton got off the stage into the crowd to sing amongst his fans, some of which (like the little kids) were so insisting for authographs he coundn't reject them and had to crawl on the stage to sign the autographs.
Afterwards came the performances of songs from the new solo album of the singer who had a sound outside the typical style of Uriah Heep but also were quite good, so we recommend them.
Sometime between the songs of John Lawton the musician stopped and expressed thanks to television, "SKAT" and especially the owner Valeri Simeonov and the operators. Got that, John Lawton and TV "SKAT" have united for the shooting of a travel documentaries about Bulgaria and musicians in the country, which is a pretty nice idea that we hope will have further success and we wish you success in the initiative.
Followed by perofrmance of several other pieces and ... brief farewell .. and everyone was determined that everything is over .. and a performance that was not to any other song but ... July Morning.
Mood, music, sound, musicians (and the warming up band BTR and John Lawton) were a high level. In general, it is great that Burgas managed to enjoy the incredible talent of the people managed to leave a memory for a fun musical evening Bourgas.
