New low-cost flights from sofia to popular european cities

Airline ticket sales surge by 49% in 2024 as bulgarians travel more

Tourist agency GoVola has reported a substantial increase in airline ticket sales for 2024, reflecting both the growing enthusiasm of Bulgarians for travel and the company’s expanding presence in the market. Despite economic challenges such as inflation and limited airline seat availability, the online travel agency recorded a 49% rise in ticket sales compared to the previous year. Economic and social council calls for acceleration of bulgaria’s eurozone accession

The Economic and Social Council (ESC) has expressed strong support for Bulgaria’s accession to the eurozone and called for the process to be expedited. A resolution adopted during the ESC plenary session on February 24 stresses the need for the government to act swiftly by requesting an extraordinary convergence report from the European Central Bank (ECB) and the European Commission (EC) by the end of February.
